The Kennels

Rock It kennels are located in the picturesque village of Overseal, Derbyshire. With over 15 acres of land the kennels can provide the best of freedom for exercise and all round care available to any dog at the kennels. As well as priding itself on the care of the dogs, the kennels have a welcoming, friendly, family orientated atmosphere for its owners and staff to enjoy.

Owners are encouraged to attend the kennels as often as they like to see their stars relaxing and enjoying themselves away from the track. Large, open fields make for great walks for the owners and their beloved racers. With owners ranging from Manchester to Jersey, via Devon and Sussex all owners enjoy a great rapport with Paul, Esther and the team. They are often found making sausage sandwiches in Paul’s kitchen on a Sunday morning !!

All of the dogs at Rock It kennels, pups, racers or retired, receive unprecedented care and attention and are turned out immaculately. The effort the team put in is appreciated by both the dogs and the owners and this is what makes the work so rewarding for all at the kennels.

Currently attached to Hall Green for the graded runners, the kennel currently houses 60+ dogs on the racing strength. Combine this with the open races where the team travel all over the country to take on the best of the British greyhounds, the team are always on the go.

The kennels are striving to bring back some much needed glory to the British breeding scene. Apart from Nick Savva, the British breeding game has been very quiet over recent years. With the broods, studs, facilities and all round wealth of knowledge the prospect of future champions looks bright.

Paul and Esther are always available to talk to and welcome any newcomers to the sport to call them for advice. Be it racing, breeding or homing a retired racer they both can call on years of experience to steer you in the right direction.
