Retired Greyhounds

Here at Shortwood Farm we consider greyhound welfare a priority and take every opportunity to promote the breed as a wonderful pet. We work closely with Hall Green RGT to help provide these wonderful dogs a deserving and loving home.

If you are interested in rehoming a retired greyhound, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at Shortwood Farm or have any questions or queries regarding rehoming a greyhound.

There are no fees involved for taking a retired greyhound home, all we ask is you provide a loving home for the rest of their life. To ensure the safety and well being of the dog, we insist that all potential homes are vetted.

Hall Green Retired Greyhound Trust

The Hall Green RGT are a group committed to finding homes for greyhounds who raced at Hall Green Stadium in Birmingham and are one of the 70 branches of the Retired Greyhound Trust

Their role is to socialise newly retired racers and prepare them for re-homing, before placing retired racers into loving and responisbile homes. They help raise peoples awareness about the true nature of these wonderful dogs.
