Paul Sallis
Paul Sallis has been involved in greyhounds since the age of 16. He worked under the great George Curtis as a kennel hand for 4 years, handling the best dogs of the era, including the legendary Ballyregan Bob.
When George retired, Bill Masters took over the kennel where Paul remained for 1 year before spending the next 7 years in the breeding side of the game working with Diane Stinchcombe .
Paul rejoined the racing side when he joined the Gordon Hodson kennel before moving to the highly successful Brian Clemenson kennel where he was assistant trainer when they won 2 trainers championship. During this highly successful period, Paul oversaw a total of 24 final wins !
Paul left the kennels in 2004 to start out on his own at Milton Keynes, with the help of partner Esther Driver and kennel hand Emma Old. Since then, Paul has enjoyed success after success. In the 1st year he won Trainer of the Year at Milton Keynes with only a small team of greyhounds. He then moved to his current base at Overseal where, since joining Hall Green, he has been voted Champion Trainer for 2 years running. Add to that the success of winning category 1 finals and many competitions, the kennel is thriving.
Paul is an incredibly ambitious trainer, whose constant drive and passion for the game sets him apart from many trainers out there currently.
